Resale Disclosure Packet Request

REQUIRED BY THE COMMENWEALTH OF VIRGINIA TO SELL YOUR PROPERTY

If you are an owner selling your property or a real estate agent representing a seller, please use the form below to order a resale disclosure packet. The cost for the packet is reflected on the request form.

Included in the resale packet is a report of the result of an inspection of the exterior of your property. If you have any known violations, please be sure to correct them right away. Also, if you have made any exterior modifications to your property, for which you did not obtain association approval, this has to be reported to the purchaser.
We start the process once we have received your request. Under Virginia law, we have 14 days to provide the resale disclosure packet. The package is given to the property owner (unless instructed otherwise), who is responsible for getting it to the buyer. The buyer then has three (3) days to review the statement and decide whether to proceed with the purchase.

Lastly, please keep in mind that inspection of the property and preparation of the packet can take up to 14 days. If you need your packet sooner, please consider ordering a rush service for the packet.

Includes property inspection and the preparation and distribution of an electronic copy to each of the following (if named in the request): seller, seller's authorized agent, purchaser, purchaser's authorized agent, and one other person designated by the requester.

2. New Request Hard Copy - $350.00:(Required)

Includes property inspection and the preparation and delivery of up to two paper copies as designated by the requester. Additional paper copies are available at the option of the seller or the seller's authorized agent for a fee of $25 per copy.

3. Update Packet (without inspection) - $70.00:(Required)

4. Update Packet (with inspection) - $210.00:(Required)

To update a disclosure packet issued within the preceding 12-month period and, at the option of the purchaser or the purchaser's authorized agent, includes an inspection of the exterior of the dwelling and lot.

5. Expediting Fee (five days or less) - $70.00:(Required)
